META SAMA MUSIC

WE PRIDE OURSELVES IN CREATING MUSIC THAT OFTEN PUSHES THE ENVELOPE WITH INFLUENCE AND GENRE AND WANT TO CREATE A HIGH QUALITY PROFESSIONAL PLATFORM, WHICH CHAMPIONS OUR ECLECTIC STYLES. WE ARE DRAWING ATTENTION TO THE KIND OF UNIQUE MUSIC/SOUNDS THAT WE CREATE AND SHOW THE ACTUAL DIVERSITY AND RANGE THAT EXISTS IN THE LONDON UNDERGROUND MUSIC/ELECTRONIC/HIP HOP SCENE

Interstellar Electronic Collective.

Meta-Sama was formed and co-founded by Eli.P Groove Killer and Truefunktion

All 3 were aware of each other in the London Beat Scene, attending such events as LinkUp TV, Beat Meet, TPN: The Producer Network, CDR and More

Oct 2019 (The Seed)

The Idea of the collective was first suggested by Groove to True, who interviewed Groove as part of his Konnect 1 Konnect All radio show on Keakie.

Groove explained that he felt that some of us in the beat scene had a unique sound in the beat maker community and that we should come together as a collective.

Although True thought that it couldn’t work as due to having other commitments, he decided to think on it and ask Eli how he felt about coming together.

Jan 2020 (The Year the World Went Gaga)

Eli also came for an interview with True shortly after releasing his EP ‘OPALS’. Hearing his more recent music, True realised the potential of a beat collective, however decided to wait until all three were together before mentioning it.

As luck would have it, Eli got a slot to play at Beat Meet in Jan 2020 at Upstairs At The Ritzy in Brixton. After Eli smashed his set, he approached both Groove and true, put his arms around their shoulders and said “What you saying, guys?”. The universal timing was perfect, and the three discussed the possibility of the collective – The vision was set.

Early Feb 2020

True created a group chat for them to talk more and to get to know each other. They had their first jam at beat maker Psygons house, which solidified that they could gel and form Voltron!

March 2020 onwards

The Pandemic hit and all social events were stopped; the guys couldn’t see each other physically, but they still kept in close contact with each other, sharing music to critique and support each other They also started brainstorming and forming what is now known as Meta-Sama. A rerelease of Eli’s ‘OPALS’ as a deluxe edition was the first under the collective, with fresh remixes from Groove and True .

From there, the try-force of unique electronic music continues to grow as they journey onwards in the galactic space of music, finding like-minded beings with a passion for music.
